Have you ever wondered how you can make a real impact in the lives of children who have experienced abuse or neglect? Columbia Gorge CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is inviting you to learn how you can become an advocate for children in the foster care system. The nonprofit organization is hosting two CASA 101 & Happy Hour events where you can learn about the powerful role of a CASA volunteer and how your support can help change a child's life.
Join Us for CASA 101 & Happy Hour
Columbia Gorge CASA is offering two informal, relaxed gatherings for community members to learn about the vital work of CASA volunteers. The first event will take place at Sunshine Mill Winery in The Dalles on Tuesday, March 25th, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and the second will be at Ferment Brewing Company in Hood River on Thursday, April 3rd, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. These events are a great opportunity to come together with others who are passionate about supporting children in need.
What to Expect at the Event
At each CASA 101 & Happy Hour session, you’ll hear from Columbia Gorge CASA staff about the organization’s mission and how you can get involved as a volunteer advocate for children in the foster care system. The evening will include light snacks and drinks, as well as the chance to meet current CASA volunteers who will share their personal stories and the difference their advocacy has made in children’s lives.
